Hayley Orrantia, she is an American performer, songwriter and actress. Her most well-known role is Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy series "The Goldbergs". Even though she sings, her primary passion is music. Music is her first love, that she insists on; it's something that she started dabbling in since she was only 9 years old. When she was 12 she was taking music seriously enough to begin professional training. In 2013, she took the plunge into songwriting and made her first album. From that point on, there's been nothing but positive. Orrantia was raised in the USA and yet she has Hispanic roots. Even though she spoke only English growing up and had never been to Mexico Orrantia is proud of her Hispanic origins. She strives to keep it alive by learning to speak Spanish as well as writing songs using the language. One such song is "Hasta Verte," which was recorded by her in Spanish. Orrantia was a part of The X Factor season 1's auditions throughout the summer of 2011. Orrantia got selected as a result of a YouTube video and was awarded four "yes" vote from judges in the live audition stage at Seattle, Washington. Although she originally auditioned as a solo artist, during "Hollywood Week", she and three other female vocalists were placed into groups for the remaining part of the auditions. They were eventually eliminated at the conclusion of the fifth performance.
